Wrap-up Trousers

For these trousers, I was inspired by the glamour of the seventies. As I drafted the pattern, I had Farrah Fawcett in mind. I chose an ivory herringbone with a slight sheen to it. I pretty much love everything about them, but obviously, the best part is that they have a wrap-around waist! Drew and I joked that I just need sunglasses and a gun and I could move to Miami.

Here is how the wrap-around works.

  4. So gorgeous! I must ask, when you draft a pattern, do you make it on paper? My grandmother always laid the fabric on the bed, looked carefully at me and began cutting--no pattern but what she saw in her mind. That was always amazing to me!
